The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

As a design engineer you will participate in the development and design of landing gear.

Main responsibilities:

You will participate in the design and development of landing gear systems. The challenge is significant, since every landing gear must take the least space possible once retracted, while delivering its full performance potential once deployed. Each design is unique since the reliability, weight, materials, assembly, tests, and costs constraints are to be considered. As a design specialist, you will need to make decisions that will have a significant impact throughout the life of the product.

Your role as design engineer will be to propose innovative solutions in order to design optimized mechanical systems meeting the criteria of our customers. You will design these components using the CATIA V5 software; from 3D modeling to 2D or 3D drawing. Your designs will subsequently be validated through stress, fatigue, endurance, ergonomics, and reliability and maintainability analyzes.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical and/or aeronautical engineering degree
• 2 to 5 years of experience in aeronautical design
• Experience modeling and producing manufacturing drawings in CAD
• Knowledge of CATIA V5 and Enovia 3DX
• Knowledge of geometric tolerancing
• Spirit of conceptualization and practical approach
• Ability to solve complex technical problems
• Bilingualism in French and English
